- Usage info: events such as sign-in, file actions, and access activity (for reliability and auditability).
- Documents you upload: files and associated metadata (file name, size, timestamps). Avoid placing sensitive personal data in filenames.
- Payment info: handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
How we use information
- Provide and operate the service (upload, share, revoke, download).
- Secure the platform and prevent abuse.
- Customer support and service communications.
- Billing, subscriptions, and account management.
- Improve reliability and user experience.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate ShareMyDocs (hosting, storage, analytics, email delivery, and payments) under appropriate safeguards.
Data retention
We retain account information for as long as necessary to provide the service. Documents are retained until you delete them (or as required by a workspace policy, if applicable). Access logs may be retained for security and compliance purposes.

ShareMyDocs is hosted on HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2 & SOC 3 certified infrastructure. We implement comprehensive security controls including:

No system can be 100% secure, but we work continuously to maintain the highest standards of protection. BAA available for healthcare organizations.
Your choices
- Access, update, or delete your account (where available).
- Delete documents you no longer need.
- Revoke shared links and rotate access when needed.
